47-blob vs 16-Wang?

Blob looks at 8 neighbors (edges + corners), so concave corners get their own tile — better for organic coasts and grass islands. That matches Godot “match corners and sides” and Tiled blob. Wang only uses the four edges (16 combos), which is enough for roads and walls that only care whether a side connects.

Assign it to Fill. Optionally drop a dirt / empty tile. The tool cuts transitions with a distance field. Use square for pixel art, rounded for organic terrain. Hand-drawn edges and corners will look even better.

How should Godot 3×3 and RPG Maker templates be laid out?

Godot 3×3: outer / north / outer on the top row, west / fill / east in the middle, outer / south / outer on the bottom. RPG Maker 2×3: outer (island) top-left, inner corners top-right, north edge bottom-left, fill bottom-right. The sheet must divide evenly.

“Send to random world” puts the atlas in the tray and opens the editor, sliced at your tile size. The .tsj in the ZIP opens in Tiled as a tileset with Wang terrain colors already set.
