Question 1

Is this a free IrfanView / XnConvert alternative for batch-resizing sprites?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Batch Resize (https://gameimagekit.com/en/tool/batch-resize) scales many images by factor, percent, or target size in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Question 2

Are my images uploaded to a server?

Accepted Answer

No. Image decoding, resizing and packaging all happen locally in your browser — files are never uploaded to any server, secure and fast.

Question 3

Why does upscaled pixel art become blurry, and how do I keep it crisp?

Accepted Answer

The default high-quality smooth resampling produces interpolation blur when enlarging. For pixel art or icons, switch resampling to "nearest-neighbor" to upscale by integer factors while keeping edges crisp.

Question 4

Can images of different sizes be resized together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Percentage or factor modes scale each image proportionally; the specific width/height mode resizes every image to the same target size (optionally keeping aspect ratio).

Question 5

What does "do not enlarge beyond original" mean?

Accepted Answer

When enabled, images smaller than the target size keep their original size instead of being enlarged; only larger images are shrunk — useful for capping the max size of a batch.
